Bear & The Woods formed in early 2012, with multi-talented musicians Harry Watts and Sam Templeman, members of Reading band South House Daze, and singer-songwriter Bear. Beginning as an acoustic three piece, the band started playing shows around Reading and accruing support wherever they went. After deciding to add drums to the dynamic (involving Ryan Winter, another member of SHD) and a chance encounter with producer and sound engineer, Graeme Rawson, they recorded their first, self-titled, EP. Upon completion of the recording, Graeme signed them to his non-profit, non-exclusive label, The Ubiquity Project (https:\u002F\u002Fubiprorec.wordpress.com\u002F) and the band had their first radio airplay, winning ‘Demo of the Week’ on Linda Serck’s BBC Introducing Berkshire, with their track ‘The Trial’.
