English: \nGarleben was found in Hamburg on September the 11th in the year 2008 by Wittwolf, who worked on severarl solo projects and S. from Metakognition. S. was recording guitars in Wittwolfs's homestudio for Metakognition when they had the idea to make an own version of Amon Amarth's „Valhall Awaits Me“. \nGarleben was born, first called Gårleben, leant on the nuclear waste dump near the german borough Gorleben, combined with the Skandinavian musical influence they have. While drinking, they experimented to write german lyrics to „Valhall Awaits Me“. The result was good, so they decided to keep on singing in german. \nInfluenced by bands like Amon Amarth, Finsterforst, Ensiferum and several Black Metal Bands like Dissection and Windir, they created an individual sound with elements of Black, Death and Folk Metal. \nDeutsch: \nGarleben wurde am 11. September 2008 in Hamburg von Wittwolf, der an einigen Solo-Projekten arbeitete, und S. von Metakognition gegründet. S. nahm gerade in Wittwolfs Heimstudio Gitarren für Metakognition auf, da hatten sie die Idee, eine eigene Version von Amon Amarths „Valhall Awaits Me“ aufzunehmen. \nGarleben war geboren, zuerst Gårleben genannt, angelehnt an das Atommülllager in der deutschen Ortschaft Gorleben und den skandinavischen musikalischen Einflüssen. Während eines Trinkgelages probieren sie, einen deutschen Text für „Valhall Awaits Me“ zu schreiben. Das Ergebnis war gut, so entschieden sie, weiterhin auf deutsch zu singen. \nBeeinflusst von Bands wie Amon Amarth, Finsterforst, Ensiferum und einigen Black Metal Bands wie Dissection und Windir, kreierten Garleben einen individuellen Sound mit Elementen aus Black, Death und Folk Metal.
