简介:
Henri Joel was born in Toulouse, where he learned to play the piano, the drums, the guitar and bass. He took part in many projects in France and later in Austria, before he started his own project in 2001, encouraged by his close friends. While studying and giging, he had quite a number of jobs, from working in a factory to being a guide in a museum. After two demos (2005-2006) and a first album brought out by HighHat Records in 2008, Joel begins to tour with musicians of various origins (the harlequinz) but all based in Vienna. He also changes room mate every year and gets to know the life of the so-called "erasmus students" (exchange students from all over Europe). This, combined with his frequent traveling, inspired him for the making of "Radio Erasmus", his upcoming album, which he'd like to see as an ACCOUSTIC MOVIE, as the soundtrack of the exciting life of today's Europeans, rather than a simple collection of songs, hence the range of pop-styles in "RADIO ERASMUS".\n\n___________________________________________________________\n\nJoel worked with various producers and DJs for Universal Music, Sony Music, the European broadcast "arte" and Alcatel mobile phones as a composer. He also made so-called "sound design" for internet websites and commercials (2006-2008), before he got into his own music again. The song "Les papillons de la révolution", which was chosen among the 5 best songs at the Austrian competition "Ö3 soundcheck" is a reflection of the new sound of the upcoming album, a mix of pop, rock and funk, and often played with accoustic guitars.
